В /etc/lilo.conf прописывается:

boot="md1"

а должно быть:

boot="/dev/md1"
raid-extra-boot="mbr-only"

Без этого загрузчик ставится, но совершенно не работает.

Это regression, раньше и то, и другое работало правильно.
